[ alucard opens the door a moment after she knocks: he's in a pair of slacks and a white button-down with the sleeves rolled up. no gloves, no shoes, no tie. just... casual, really. he looks more tired than annoyed, if we're honest, and he steps aside so she can come in. ]

[ it's clear he doesn't mean the boner thing. he means the whole 'everyone telling him to take care of anderson' thing. ]

[Of course he'd like the ego boost. Still, once the door opens she pauses for a moment to study him, noting the casual look and the way he just looks tired. There might be a brief moment of guilt for causing him problems with Anderson over the flirting thing as she enters the apartment.

Like him, she was in her usual dark slacks and dress shirt though, hers was a pale blue that complimented her eyes and her tie was loose around her neck with the first three buttons of her shirt undone. Beyond that her shirt was untucked and she was watching him warily as she entered.]

Let me guess, zeveral people haf been on you about hiz post once zhey realized you vere his dominant.

[ for a moment he just stands there--he lifts a hand, brushing his fingertips idly along her throat before he simply turns and walks to sit on the couch, beckoning for her to follow him. despite whatever emotions he's feeling, he's oddly mellow outwardly--though there's something boiling under his skin, waiting. ]

Something like that. Everyone wants a piece of him but if they go up against him they'll just get hurt.

[ anderson is a powerhouse, after all. sighing, he tips his head back into the couch cushions. ]

[She stills as his fingertips brush along the line on her throat. Even as he turns away and beckon's her to follow, Rip's still cautious. There's.. something going on beneath the surface because she doubt he's really feeling this mellow.

But, he wasn't harming her or making any attempt to so, she reluctantly followed. Rip really wasn't sure what to expect as she settled on the couch with him.]

I know zhat. He's terrifying in a fight from vat I've seen here.

[She sighed and tried to relax a little more.]

Ve stayed clear of Iscariot as much as ve could. So, I really don't know much of vat he or zhey can do. My mission vas you, not zhem.

[She looks uneasy for a moment or two...]

[ it's a bad aspect of his psyche, but a part of him likes it that she's afraid of him--or at least cautious and wary. he's always been like that though, and it's a bit fun to play with even though he's playing it down at the moment because he doesn't want to scare her away. ]

He's the best I've seen.

[ there's a fondness there, oddly enough, though whether it's for the man or his fighting prowess is unclear. he nods at her assessment though, frowning. ]

Hellsing and Iscariot have treaties. They just... Don't apply to us. The never mattered to either of us. The priest is the strongest of them by far. The others were simply human. Strong humans, but humans nonetheless.

[ a beat as he takes in her expression and frowns. ]

Hopefully. He has agreed to focus on our captors for the most part, so hopefully he'll stop trying to stab everything that moves.

[Then he must love that there will always be a part of her that is afraid of him. She may no longer be terrified but, Rip would always be cautious when he was in a mood she couldn't read. For her, it was more of an instinctive response to be cautious just.. to be safe.

Though, she'd hope he wouldn't be mad enough to terrify her because Rip would run far and as fast as she could the moment she got out of the apartment...]

[That's hard to miss in his voice. Whether it was for the man himself or his fighting prowess...Rip had a feeling it might be both.]

Zhen hopefully none of zhe rest of zhem show up. I really don't vish to be hiding under a rock more zhan I already am because of stabbing threats.

[Sigh. She shifts uneasily on the couch.]

Vell, even if he does stop stabbing everyzhing zhat moves, he'd still need to stop threatening all non-humans. Zhere are more zhan just vampires here.

I doubt he's going to make many friends vith his current attitude anyvay.

[ he's settled a bit now, at least: he knows better than to throw a tantrum, and he's even-keeled for her visit even if she might have cost him a valuable fighting partner. ]

as for iscariot, well, he shrugs. ]

They're as zealous as him, but probably easier to control.

[ then--he sighs, flopping over to rest his head in her lap. ]

He doesn't care if he makes friends. I need to talk to him about the consequences of running amok since it reflects badly on us too. I'm never going to yank his leash, but we have to come to some sort of agreement.

[She didn't say anything as he flopped over. Instead she just started to gently run her fingers through his hair as she just mulled over what he said. ]

He sounds a bit like you vhen you put it zhat vay. Only.. blonde und a lot more stabby.

[She kept toying with the unruly locks and hoped that whatever Alucard said to him, it got through. For the briefest moment her hand stilled before resuming its path through his hair.]

[ he leans into the touch, like a dog seeking affection, and looks up at her with lidded eyes. clearly he's not that mad at her.

[ he's not looking forward to trying to get him to stop, but it's necessary. he can't lose what standing he has. ]

I don't know. I need him to focus on our captors, but he's one-track minded when it comes to things he views as sinful. He's bullheaded, but hopefully I can get through to him.

[That's definitely a plus in her eyes and also keeps her playing with his hair.]

[A bit of humor, but, it also helped her to understand a little bit why he was so invested in the priest.]

[ it's terrible, but that's how he shows his affection: all-consuming, all-devouring, an unmatched intensity. if he had him that way he'd have him forever, after all. not that disappointing death at alucard's hands. he'd devour integra too, if he could. ]

[There's a faint quirk of her lips. A smile perhaps? She leans in to peer down at him, allowing her long hair to curtain around them for the moment.]

[She might be leaning a smidge towards jealous. Not that she'd let it show.]

[ when she calls him greedy he smiles, fingers curling around a strand of her hair and giving it a tug. ]

[Now it's her turn to lean into the affectionate touch. She was just as eager for it as he was in most cases. ]

[She remained where she was as he shifted, relaxing as he pressed a kiss to her lips and let it linger there before she pulled back to look at him, her own sapphire eyes seeming to nearly glow as she watches him... and admittedly, she might be feeling pleased at what he said next.]

Zhen it's a pity zhey vere released. I might haf enjoyed being kept by you forever once I came around to being yours.

[ he smiles again at the accusation, not repentant in the least. ]

[ he almost pulls back when she tenses, but once she relaxes it's fine--he digs his nails in minutely through her clothing, then relents. ]

[ he mulls over what she says next for a moment, thoughtful. she's right: she's not as strong as his usual choice of partner. but in this case does it matter? ]

[The feel of his nails digging into her felt pleasant in its own way and had her pouting briefly when he relented. As for their partnership feeling weird, Rip shook her head and stayed relaxed against his hand.]

No it doesn't feel veird to me. It just feels...[She pauses to try and find the right word for it.] Pleasant.

[At least, that's the closest word she could think of to describe her end of things. How it felt to him or what he thought about it, she didn't have much of a clue. However, his answer does makes her pause again and then smile slightly. He was right, she was able to do quite a bit of destruction on her own if she were inclined to..]

[ his voice is low, barely a rumble, and he leans in to kiss her jaw. ]
