Hopefully someday they would be on pleasant terms. Though, that would be along way off for now. Not while she was kept under a microscope and Integra trying to figure out what Alucard did to her.
Whatever it was, it left it's mark on Rip worse than even the experiment she volunteered for did. Whether she wanted to believe that a part of the Dark Hunter lived within her or not, Rip had to face the fact that something happened that night, something she couldn't quite remember or understand. The journals and notes in the archives might hold the clue to it and hopefully they'd be able to piece it together some day.
"If every life counts, zhen vat about mine." She wanted to say more when everything went dark. There was a blurry light for a moment then.. nothing. Rip had been left with the silence and pure darkness for the day and it didn't sit well with her.
She tried to sleep but, the silence was something she couldn't stand. There had always been noise. The sound of animals, humans.. even insects. She tossed and turned before getting up and pacing. It took her a few times to learn the layout of her small cell before she was moving through it with ease in the darkness. At this point, her blindness was a gift. She paced, laid down.. tossed, turned. Even sang to herself before she finally fell asleep.
However, once she started to sleep.. the nightmares began. The smell of smoke, the sound of crackling flames.. The laugh of madness and the destruction around her. Rip whimpered in her sleep but as her nightmares got worse, she started to violently toss and turn on her cot. Eventually, she woke up screaming and sobbing.
By the time they check on her again, Rip would be curled up in a corner of her cell with her legs drawn up to her chest and her arms wrapped around them, hugging herself tight and trying to be as small as possible despite her 6'2 frame. She had one of the blankets draped over her shoulder.. and by the looks of it, she barely slept.
