[Rip seems to be taking today in stride. It seems that her usual bloody meal was spiked somehow and now she's seeing things. To anyone who drank the purple drought, Rip is carrying on a conversation completely in German with an over sized floating fish that looks suspiciously like a silver and gold comet tailed goldfish.

Northern Germany. My village vas on zhe edge of a forest. At zhe time it vas a three day ride from Berlin.

That's a long ride. I hope you were able to visit despite that. That city's been through a lot, but I suppose it's become historical because of it.

I know~. I vas able to visit it a few times az a soldier during zhe var. Zhough... I haf not been back in quite zome time.

Most likely one of the world wars then. The Great War? World War II?

At least it's over now, right? Sure, break outs like the angels happen from time to time, but most people are adamantly against war here. It's lucky.

I zuppose. Zhough I rather zhe joys of var. Zhe bloodshed und violence. It vas a rare symphony zhat only a few appreciated.

It's a unique experience, certainly. But wars arise from discontent. There's no reason to fight so long as we can just understand each other.

Und vat about zhose vho fight for zhe sake of fighting? Vat of zhose zhat know nothing but bloodshed und var? Var iz beautiful, a master piece in it's own right~. An eternal chess game zhat few can play.

Vat of zhem? Zhe var mongers? Zhe zoldiers? Zhe chest masters und zhe pawns? Zhe conductors und zhere orchestra of destruction?

I zuppose~ Zhat zhis place haz seen enough destruction und bloodshed, but never zhink zhat zhere vill never be discontent. Zomone alvays comes along zhat vill stirr things up even briefly. It iz zhe vay of zhings.

Hmmm. You're right. It's not fair to deprive them of what they want either. But if what makes them happy makes everyone else miserable... Why don't all of the war mongers and those who want to follow them get together and fight each other?

Then everyone wins, right?
