Basing on her answers, it's similar to Seras. Suffered a physical trauma followed by emotional and then the slow transformation. Once again, Alucard's fault. But other than that, nothing else. So that free Alucard from further suspicion other than being what he is, a tool of her will. Though her grandfather warned her of his sexual escapades in the past, and to take care not to feel any affection for him and guard her heart as the bloodline and vow of the Helsing is to protect humanity from these monsters...even if its the sin of his blood traced back to him as the singular source.
Even if he's gone for all of these years...well nevermind. Back to the task at hand.
"Hm. I see..." Other than that, she didn't say anything and rather not question further. Just like Seras, she doesn't remember anything and even she swears Alucard didn't see her that way. As if Integra wants to believe the both of them. "Hmph, those Millennium freaks were nosy back in the day I see." She is glad to destroy every one last of them.
"He must have mixed his blood with yours at one point during the war." At the mention of biting, there's a bit of...feeling irked, perhaps a pang of jealousy. There's no answer from her for the next half an hour. Still, she's focused on her task. "You have roughly 20% of his blood within you indicating the source of your vampirism came from him, the source, the original blueprint."
Integra typed away at her computer and when the report is finally finished, she reads a fragment of her findings out into the microphone. "No abnormal brain activity to rule out epilepsy and seizures...low blood pressure and low blood cell count, bradycardiac. Blood sugar and insulin levels normal. Otherwise, your vitasl is quite within normal limits and you're just another bloodsucker. Your activity in Brazil is more psychological. I wonder if your bloodlust is the result of the cross blood interaction and how it effects your brain." She said. "You're lucky you don't have any food poisoning when you were drinking from those animals. Though I won't be surprised if you get stomach flu from poor interaction and poor diet of human and animal blood."
Turning to Seras for a bit, "You didn't the suffer the same effect of the bloodlust as the patient here. In your case, your bloodlust is activated during battle. I'll have to conduct further tests."
Seras, looked thoughtful. "Well, that because I drank Pip's blood and he gave it to me."
"Hmm, that maybe the case. A blood given is different than a blood that got mixed up during an accident or given or take by force." Turning back to Rip. "Well, that concludes tonight evaluation." Seeing the blood bag is already empty.
The good news, Integra had said she is her patient besides animal. Or perhaps a text subject in her examination? The machines in the room, though they seem to have a medical use, who knows what other uses Integra might know and have in store. "Well, you're a trooper." She said in a chipper tone. "You should feel grogginess and drowsiness as the side-effect. The drug was meant as a sedation. That's enough dosage to knock out a tiger, so to speak, and perhaps I might given you a tad too much...but you're a vampire so I trust the drug will even out from your system and you should feel fine tomorrow." Is she grinning about overdosing her on purpose?
"Now do you have any questions?" She's ready to call it a night.
If Integra ever wondered about Alucard's sexual exploits, Rip could confirm he liked playing with his prey. She definitely remembered that as he tortured and ate her. Or at least, she thought he devoured her...That's what it felt like though how would that explain how she got to London? That's the part she's hazy on and wasn't sure how to explain.
Rip snorted at the woman's comment about Millennium being busy back in the day. They had been given a task and they completed it like they were supposed to! Rip even volunteered for the experiment that created them once Dok perfected it and unfortunately, she was only one of two women to survive the process. Other's weren't so lucky so who really knew what that did to her.
"He did more zhan mix blood vith me on the ship." her voice was a low growl as she shook her head and rubbed her eyes. They hurt from her lack of glasses as she at back on the cot. True, she was still groggy and felt like her limbs were lead... and that annoyed her to no end. Then to hear that she was within normal parameters for a vampire? She snorted softly. She could have told the woman that.
As for the psychological part and how her body had been.. behaving.. she had to wonder herself. "No my fault zhe food source vas questionable. I didn't exactly haf much in zhe vay of choices." Not to mention, she's eaten worse. She'd be surprise if she got sick over it in the next few days. As for the rest though...She wasn't surprised she was overdosed on purpose.
"Actually... Yes. Vhen can I get new glasses? I can't see vithout zhem."
Integra was unfortunately teased by him, and a part of her wondered if he had done it on purpose to her to get a rise out of her, as Integra was serious and straight to the point to get him to finish the mission and the tasks she set out for him. And he teased her because Integra has no hope to live a normal life or even get married due to being very focused on her role and to her career.
No explanation needed or necessary as Integra had seen the videos. She and Seras found them to look for any clues when they salvaged the ruined zeppelin when the Major recorded pretty much everything of his twisted and awful achievements. Rip's last moments of life and suffering at his hands, and her death was recorded, and Integra made her best efforts to archived everything happened in that terrible year.
"I know. I had seen the video. It was recorded. Your leader recorded everything. He was a sick man." Or rather a robot who carries the evil will of a twisted prodigy and mind. She sighed. Her previous ire and jealousy was soon perished, as she realized her ideal of the count was a mere fantasy. Afterward, when the war is over, she pursued her dream of becoming a doctor to resume a normal life and go with the flow of time.
Integra shut down her computer to end her task for the night. At her request, there's a bit of amusement...and pity for the monster she locked up in the cell. A formal criminal asking for new glasses? Well, her cell only contains a bed with no t.v or even books to read. No entertainment. While the cell is clean, comfortable, and bland white...it's a small space when there's a big world outside. But a monster must be contained.
Then with consideration, Integra gazed at the other woman evenly with her icy blue eyes. Her glasses glare from the light. "Hmph. So, you asked that of me? Do you think you deserved it after what you did to those people before we found you?"
In other words, Integra believed she should suffer and kept her locked up as her prisoner, to keep the world safe. Even though there's a fair amount of Alucard's blood mixing in her veins, it's far too much that her vampirism is irreversible, permanent, and no cure. It's only fair for the pain and suffering she did to those people in Brazil. Integra, even she practiced ethics of a doctor and know the weight of compassion, she wants to weight fairness and justice as well.
Rip tensed slightly when videos of that night were mentioned. Did he really record all of that? Her last moments and what as done to her recorded for all eternity...Wasn't it bad enough she was forced to remember it!? Rip shifted on the cot she sat on and closed her sapphire eyes. They just hurt too much to keep open for the moment which left her completely blind in the stark white room.
Perhaps it was the lighting or the lack of dark colors of some sort that irritated them so much. Who really knew. For now, she was left with her other senses telling her what was going on and right now, that meant listening to her jailer.
"Vat I did I couldn't control und I did for survival." She growled, her head tilting as she turned towards the sound of Integra's voice. "Zhe madness und hunger vere zomething I cannot control. Vatever your pet did to me, I can't fight it." Not right now anyway. Rip didn't know how. So, perhaps Integra was right in locking up a creature like her.
And yet, Rip hated the fact that she was confined and couldn't see more than very blurry shapes and shadows. "If you're going to keep me here az zome sort of lab rat, at least let me see vat you're doing."
A headache is threatening to rise on the back of Integra's head. Making the connections and connecting the dots, once again, all of Rip's actions can be traced back to Alucard's madness and sin. Rip is really testing Integra's sense of mercy, with her values of being a protestant knight. If Rip and Integra would be on more amicable terms, Integra may grant her access to the archive library to study what happened that night as Integra kept journals, videos, newspapers that year so she could never forget...her triumph and her shame.
"He's a servant, not a pet. And that's still not a good excuse for the lives that you had taken. Including the animals and children, and the broken families you upset and left behind. Every life counts." As to Rip's life and value, well after chasing after her through the rainforest, Integra has a good idea to end her life out of mercy...yet a part of Alucard is within Rip, and Integra scientific and medical curiosity is what spared Rip...for now. As Rip may hold some value in that regard, but she is right that she might be a Helsing labrat.
With a sigh, Integra turned off the lights completely, leaving everything in the room, including Rip's cell completely dark and silent. The only light is the doorway that leads her out of the laboratory. From Integra's point of view, she's going to take the stairs to go up to the upper floors of the manor.
Integra said nothing else to her request other than a curt, "We shall see. Until then, good night." Not that she wants to get close to her. Despite being a skilled vampire slayer, she is very phobic of vampires that she even asked Seras to keep her distance. If she wanted to do an examination, she already had Seras in mind to assist her to get what she wanted or needed.
Meaning if Rip wanted glasses, Seras will be doing the eye examination...but she has to wait tomorrow evening.
As with the laboratory dark and silent, leaving Rip alone in her cell and just wearing nothing else but a hospital gown, with nothing to do and nothing to see, it's going to be a very long, long night and to simply wait...until Integra decides to visit her again the next evening.
Hopefully someday they would be on pleasant terms. Though, that would be along way off for now. Not while she was kept under a microscope and Integra trying to figure out what Alucard did to her.
Whatever it was, it left it's mark on Rip worse than even the experiment she volunteered for did. Whether she wanted to believe that a part of the Dark Hunter lived within her or not, Rip had to face the fact that something happened that night, something she couldn't quite remember or understand. The journals and notes in the archives might hold the clue to it and hopefully they'd be able to piece it together some day.
"If every life counts, zhen vat about mine." She wanted to say more when everything went dark. There was a blurry light for a moment then.. nothing. Rip had been left with the silence and pure darkness for the day and it didn't sit well with her.
She tried to sleep but, the silence was something she couldn't stand. There had always been noise. The sound of animals, humans.. even insects. She tossed and turned before getting up and pacing. It took her a few times to learn the layout of her small cell before she was moving through it with ease in the darkness. At this point, her blindness was a gift. She paced, laid down.. tossed, turned. Even sang to herself before she finally fell asleep.
However, once she started to sleep.. the nightmares began. The smell of smoke, the sound of crackling flames.. The laugh of madness and the destruction around her. Rip whimpered in her sleep but as her nightmares got worse, she started to violently toss and turn on her cot. Eventually, she woke up screaming and sobbing.
By the time they check on her again, Rip would be curled up in a corner of her cell with her legs drawn up to her chest and her arms wrapped around them, hugging herself tight and trying to be as small as possible despite her 6'2 frame. She had one of the blankets draped over her shoulder.. and by the looks of it, she barely slept.
