[Now that the never ending day has come to a close, Rip has been having fun enjoying the night. This night, she's wandering some of the buildings with her hell cat draped over her shoulders.  The Huntress has even managed to scare up an old winter coat that looks like it had seen better days. Unfortunately the coat seems to be a few sizes too small so it hugs her form almost like a second skin. Not that she cares.

Rip is looking through the various buildings, humming a Christmas carol as she searches for... gifts. This was the one holiday that was celebrated more than even Halloween and Rip was very, very determined to enjoy it. That... and it's been over 50 years since she's had a white Christmas.

As for who she was giving gifts to? Well that was going to remain a secret. True, she couldn't celebrate the holiday  in some of the more traditional ways that she was used to, but she was going to make the best of it!

Eventually she pauses and digs something out of the rubble. It looks... like a broken Pocket Watch. She fiddles with it for a few moments before reaching up to scratch her cat's ears.]

"Vat do you zhink Hadewig? I am sure ve can find zomeone to fix it up."

[The Yodare gives a soft mewl and buts her head against her Mistress's cheek, making the vampire grin a little as she scratches the gray cats head.]

"You are right~ ve just need to ask! But first... lets zee vat else ve can find."

[Neither one of them seems to notice that PCD is even on.. or that it even fell out of Rip's pocket.]

[The sudden voice makes Rip jump a little and fall on her ass from her crouching position. Moments later she's reaching for the device and pushing her glasses up her nose as her sapphire eyes gaze curiously at the person on the other end.]

Zhat iz vat ve are hoping for. Zhere iz no telling vat may be buried in zhe ruins of zome of zhese buildings!

[She just grins pleasantly as her cat closes her eyes and relaxes. The cute little hell cat doesn't seem the slightest interested in the conversation.]

Vell it iz~!Christmas iz about tradition und celebration~! No matter vho you are, it iz zhe zame all over zhe vorld!

Und bezides, it has been zome time zince I haf had snow on Christmas und giving gifts iz fun~!

There are a lot of smart people here. Maybe you could ask if any of them are a mechanic.. or whoever fixes watches.

Her name is Hadewig. It iz an old German name zhat I thought zuited her.

Y'might ask a young lady named Winry Rockbell, she's 'bout th'best person t'ask t'fix something.

[Then again Jean hasn't had the heart to check to see if she's still in Adstringendum. He's long ago stopped bothering to check for things like that.]

[Jean's voice wears a smile in it, that means he caught her by surprise maybe. That's fine by him.]

[He listens, quietly of course while she speaks. It doesn't dawn on him why it would have been a problem.]

Nupe, no problems here, I just shut up th'house n' wandered into th'basement any time I needed me some non-sun time. Last thing I need is sunburn right?

I zpent most of zhe veek in my house az vell, hiding under my blankets. My zkin is very.. delicate. I cannot be out in zhe sun vithout heavy protection.

[Again there's a smile in Jean's voice to that purring. That frigging cat almost took his face off more than a couple times, but she has it purring.]

[Of course she has the cat purring. Hadewig knows Rip's the bigger monster. Not that it shows of course~. Besides, her fingers were heavily chewed on in the beginning.]

[Of course, that could be taken several ways. She's referring to being a vampire. But~, she could also be referring to some sort of skin disorder as well. Ambiguity is a wonderful thing.]

[Listening he could do, comprehending? Well ... yeah he could understand underlying things, but it doesn't seem like he has to just talking to her at least. It wasn't a military operation, it wasn't something he was used to hearing- so here he sits with his PCD in his hand talking to her still.]

Well if y'asked me honestly that question, I'd say it's just part'a how pretty y'are.

[Shut up, he's no good with this pickup line stuff. Plus, he's trying to at least sound less than stupid- not that he's succeeding.]

[Now that makes her chuckle a little. Yes, she realizes it's a pick up like and a slightly silly one at that, but, it's endearing in it's own way. Even to a monster like her.]
